Why sleep when you can climb??

We finally lowered her bed. Obviously it didn't help the situation much! At least, now she can't fall out. She has mastered her skill of climbing and pulling her self up. She climbs on anything and everything. Our coffee table has two levels. she climes on the bottom level and then falls off. it is pretty hilarious. Also, whenever she hits her head she doesn't cry but she turns and looks at whatever she hit her head on with a dirty look. "How dare you hit me in the head!"

For a while now I have been thinking that Kellyn is going to skip crawling. She does her creative scoot/army crawl when she wants to get around. Lately she has been getting up on all fores, hands and feet. She will do that and just hold it for a few seconds. She just seems uninterested in crawling. Last week I went into her room after fighting with her to go to sleep. When I went in, she had pulled herself up by her bumper and was on her knees holding on to her crib looking around. REALLY?!? She has done this numerous times since then. We have to lower her crib asap.

This morning I was checking my work email and Kellyn was curious about what I was doing. She can't get to where I am due to the barricade. So I guess she found another way to see what I was doing. Hence the pictures. She climbed up the pillow and pulled herself up on the coffee table and just stood there. I am not ready for her to be pulling up on things! I want her crawl so I can mentally prepare myself for her walking around :)

This weekend my step brother Preston graduated from high school. Luckily it didn't rain on Sunday. We had a lot of family in town and got together for great food and company. Below are a few pictures

Sometimes I think my daugher is weird...

Kellyn is a character. Anyone who has spent any time with her knows this. If she isn't screaming out of excitement she is scrunching up her nose and breathing fast out of it. I don't know where she learned it, but that is how she shows her excitement. She is at the age of where she will mock what Ryan and I do. So if I scream, she screams. If I do the weird nose thing, she will do it.

She has also turned into quite the little explorer. One good thing about living in this tiny hole in the wall (can you tell I'm SOOOO ready to get out of this place!) is that I can see her anywhere she is. Recently I had to build a barricade because she loves to chew on the coffee table or to play with the DVD's. However, she has how figured out how to climb over one of the barricades and go into the hall way. She ventures into the bathroom, our bed room, and her bed room. She loves being in her room. I would let her play in there all day while I did other housework if I knew she wouldn't eat something and choke. She also gets angry when we take her toys away from her. It seems early for her to already get mad when she doesn't get what she wants, but she throws little baby fits.

I just wanted to say thank you for everything you have done. I don't think I could have made it through the first 3 months after Kellyn was born without you! I love you mucho! :)

Teething biscuit fiasco

Picture adventure- Take 2

The first time I took Kellyn to get her pictures taken it was NOT a good experience. She was tired and Fussy. Well, My cousin Nicole and I have been talking for a little while about getting Kellyn and Nicolas's picture taken together for my grandma (don't tel her!). So, we picked a day and a place and made it happen. Sadly, it didn't go as expected. Nicolas HATES Kellyn. If we sat him by Kellyn he freaked out. Luckily, our photographer was patient and we finally got a few decent pictures of the two of them.
I also got just Kellyn's pictures taken. She did amazing. She is such a ham. She loves being told she is cute and posing for pictures. Below are a couple of Kellyn. I will upload a couple of the two of them tomorrow. Enjoy!
