Kellyn and her Best Cousin Friend- Nicki

I love these two pictures. It is indicative of their relationship.

16 month tricks!

Being 16 months old, Kellyn has developed many new "tricks"....

* Kellyn can stick out her tongue (for you Lauren). However, she doesn't just stick out her tongue, she also scrunches up her nose and squints her eyes. It is hilarious and cute. I probably shouldn't encourage the behavior and will most likely regret it later, but it is sooo cute!

* Kellyn has learned that she can make her self pass gas which sometimes leads to a shart :). She finds this hilarious. Ryan is one proud dad... she now says "dada" and when he looks at her she passes gas and then cracks up laughing.

* Kellyn has also figured out how to jump on the couch or bed. She is pretty excited about this new skill.

* She can say close to 20 words. New words being Nicki (for Nicholas, her cousin), Up (with emphasis on the P), rock, and juice.

* She is also very fascinated with putting caps on her markers, lids on water bottles- anything that fits together she will put it together.

* And lastly, how could I forget, she loves to dump things out. She will put them back, but then dump the container out. It's a fun game we play....

The reason for warning labels

Today I took Kellyn to work for a good bye party for one of my co-workers. Since she did exceptionally well at both my work and Target I bought her a prize. She got alphabet blocks. She played with the blocks for a long time and then she found the bag.

She was VERY excited when she figured out how to put the bag on her head. I quickly read the warning label to her... you know the one that says "Keep away from babies. Suffocation risk. Do not put bag over head".

She didn't care. She walked around with the bag on her head (like a special kid) for a good 5 minutes screaming "I did it" over and over again!

**Disclaimer** I let Kellyn walk with the bag on her head for photo opportunity reasons only. Following the picture the bag was put up until we picked up the blocks. I have no intention of suffocating my child :)

I do it!

Kellyn has learned her first sentence...."I do it". Normally it is cute, but sometimes she says it with such a little attitude. Last night she insisted in "rock rock" (rocking in the recliner) all by herself. I let her not thinking she would try any special tricks. Well I was sitting on the couch right next to the recliner and she stood up, sat on the arm of the chair and then threw herself back then, landed on the floor. She hasn't wanted to "rock rock" by herself since!

Snow Day

Last Monday and Tuesday Ryan got snow days, which basically consisted of him shoveling the driveway and side walk 5 times throughout the day. Every time he went out side Kellyn desperately wanted to go with him. In normal conditions I would have bundled her up and let her go out for 5 minutes or so, but she has/had a cold. Since I wouldn't let her go outside I let her watch Ryan shovel.

One her new favorite things to do is "rock rock" like a big girl.

She stood at the window the entire time he was outside.

Obviously, she is a midget so I had to let her stand on her chair.
