Batarina!

Kellyn has been sick with a fever basically all week. She missed her school Halloween party yesterday and still had a fever on and off all day.
Luckily, she felt well enough to pose for pictures and to do a little trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.
Ryan was going to be Robin and Kellyn was going to be batman for Halloween this year. Kellyn was super excited because she is really into superheros at the moment. However, when we go to get the costume she HAD to have the 'Batarina'. She has been begging me to let her wear it to school for the last two weeks.  Ryan was really upset that she didn't want to be batman... between you and I- I think he was mostly sad that he no longer had an excuse to buy and wear green tights :)

3 years old!

It's hard to believe but Kellyn turned three ( almost a month ago). She was sick on the day we had her birthday party planned so we ended up having three parties. Poor girl thinks that her birthday lasts for a week.  Ryan was in charge of the gifts so she got a t-ball set (below), a TON of K-state gear and a golf set.  Luckily others members of our family realize that she is a girl.

An added bonus- cute picture of Kearstie and Khloe!

School update

Kellyn seems to enjoy school, for the most part. She has not been overly willing to discuss school. Mostly she will let me know what she had for snack  (but unless they eat goldfish for snack every day I don't think she is being completely honest).  A few weeks ago I think she had some problems with talking in school because all she would say is that you're not suppose to talk in class.

She went on a field trip to the Pumpkin patch in Lawrence. She appeared to enjoy her self.   Above is a picture with her and some classmates on the swing.
Those kids she is sitting next to are NOT her friends. She likes the one in the K- State jacket the best, but don't get the confused for friendship. Kellyn does not like the kids in her class because they are 'little people' and she does not like 'little people', only 'big people'.
She also does not need any more friends because she already had three and you can't have more than three friends.   I purchased a book on friends and friendship. We've been reading it nightly. :)  Hopefully she will learn that she can have a lot of friends, or she will soon have none.
