On Easter Sunday we were at Ryan's parents house. They live in a cul-de-sac. All of the neighbor kids and grand kids were outside playing. Below are some picture from Kellyn's first date. Obviously, not really a date, but it is really funny. Her and this little boy who is 2.5 rode around in this car for a really long time.

Text from Ryan.
This evening while I was at work I received this text message from Ryan.
"So, I just told Kellyn no jumping on the couch and she mean mugged me and pointed to the love seat and said 'momma jump'! Anything to say for yourself?"
She's figuring out this triangulation thing early. I must say, I'm impressed!

Our Easter Bunny Adventure
We moved to Baldwin City last summer. For those of you who don't know.. Baldwin is a beautiful historic town. They have many community events throughout the year such as the maple leaf festival, Thomas the Train and many other things. Every Easter they have a train ride to "nowhere" Kansas... yes, Nowhere. Nowhere Kansas is 5 miles south of Baldwin. We decided it would be fun to take Kellyn on a train ride and let her have an Easter egg hunt with other kids.
First, Kellyn is a horrible Easter egg hunter. She got one egg. If Ryan was blogging about this he would tell you that a man tripped Kellyn so that his kid could get eggs. This obviously is not the case. However, there were a lot of kids and well.. let's face it, Kellyn has short little legs so she can't run very fast! After the egg hunt we went to see the Easter bunny. I think Kellyn may have PTSD as a result. She was terrified, shaking and crying. Adventure
I'm confident that next year we will have better results... but it was a good experience for us all. I have to remember to take motion sickness medication if I ever ride on a train again.

A glimpse into my future
Back Story: Kellyn is only given Juice (from me) in the morning. Every morning it is the first thing she asks for. She drinks her juice and we rock.
Story:
Two Fridays ago I woke Kellyn up to leave for Overbrook. We meet my mom in Overbrook every Friday morning. Like every morning, Kellyn wanted juice. I used the last of the juice on Thursday morning and forgot to buy more so I told Kellyn she could have natures juice (milk). She very adamantly said "NOOOOOOO" while pushing the cup away from her. I got her in the car and put the cup of milk in her cup holder. She them preceded to throw a fit because the milk was in her general presence and she didn't want milk, she wanted juice.
When she got to my mom's she got juice (of course). Later on in the day she wanted milk. My mom tried to give her the cup of milk from the morning. Kellyn refused to take it. She wanted different milk because she didn't want THAT milk.
That combined with the picture below makes me worry about life when she is 16.

Give credit where credit is due
The pictures were taken by a family friend Candice Rukes. You all should go look at her website and have her take your family photos. She does great work and is very reasonably priced. Check her out at http://www.candicemariephotography.com/.

KU= stinky (Kellyn's words.. not mine)
It is a well known fact that we are not KU fans in this house. I was cheering for KU last weekend because well, frankly, they were the only big 12 team still in the tournament. If they win it's good for the big 12. However they lost, again, to, yet again, another small school. I saw this online and I think it's really funny. To the our little shrimp followers who are devoted KU fans... Don't get sad. http://www.tauntr.com/content/bill-self-choking-procedures
