Best birthday gift EVER!

I pride myself in being very thoughtful and creative when it comes to giving gifts, but I think I may have out did myself this time! :) Ryan's 28th birthday is this Tuesday. For sometime I have been trying to come up with something awesome to give him, but he isn't helpful in the gift department. Whenever I asked him what he would like for his birthday he would tell me socks. Who wants socks for a birthday gift???
Ryan and I have both wanted to go sky diving for some time. It is something that is always talks about, but never scheduled. So, I scheduled him to go sky diving for his birthday. I really wanted it to be a complete surprise, but I had to tell him about 2 weeks a head of time because I needed to make sure we didn't have anything going already planned.


Baby Skydiver! Ryan had to be at Sky Dive Kansas at noon, but didn't jump until 3. Luckily the skydive location was in Osage so Kellyn and I hung out with the parents.

I'm highly considering changing the name of this blog to Our little flirt.


My Brother and his girlfriend had a housewarming/ birthday party tonight and the boy in the picture is Kellyn's boyfriend. She was ALL over him and he obviously was trying to escape.

Or touch foreheads (weird thing she does) and then say awwwwwww.

Ryan was traumatized and may need to start therapy now to deal with his anxiety about Kellyn and dating.

When did my baby get so big?

Since Kellyn is almost a year ( I know, it's hard to believe) we have started letting her drink water out of a sippy cup with the hope she will prefer the sippy cup to the bottle. So far it appears to be working. I was doing the dishes last Monday and I looked over and saw her sitting on the floor drinking from her sippy cup like a big girl. It amazes me how fast she grows and changes. By the time she is one I'm sure she will be running around the house being more ornery than she is now!






She hasn't mastered the skill just yet.

This after noon we went to my cousin Nicole's baby shower at Gage Park in Topeka. Since, she was late to her own baby shower :) we took some pictures and played outside until she arrived. It was a nice baby shower and Nicole and Kevin got a lot of cute things. After the shower was done we all rode the carousel. I thought Kellyn would love it, but I was wrong. I ended up holding her while it went around and around.

Little Fish

Oh the life of a baby... Eat, sleep, play and swim! Kellyn LOVES the water more than most babies, I believe. If she hears the bath tub turn on she crawls lightening fast to the tub and bounces up and down with excitement. She also LOVES swimming. Below are a few pictures of the beautiful child.
