Correction

I should read my posts before I publish them...
Poindextress is laying at an angle. Her butt and back at on my left side and her head is right above my right hip.
This is what she looks like... but the opposite side.

Your baby is oblique if her body is situated at an angle. Her head will be more against one side of your pelvis and her shoulder will be towards the birth canal. (http://www.naturalbirthandbabycare.com/baby-position.html)

Frustrations

Yesterday I had another Doctors appointment. She still hasn't checked to see if I am dilated. Why you may ask? Because miss Poindextress is laying at an angle. I have posted before that she is all on my right side, but I was hoping that she head was still in my pelvis. Obviously that was wishful thinking on my part. Her head is basically on my right hip (which explains why my right hip always hurt!) So her butt and bottom of her back are on my right side her midsection is curved towards the bottom of my belly with her head on my right hip. I need her to move!! However, she has been in his position for a really long time so I am a little worried that she won't move. Ryan says I am just being paranoid and he is probably right, but after learning that 1 in 4 women have c-sections I am getting anxious. I am going to start walking a couple of miles every night and hopefully gravity will help her move down!
My Doctor told us that usually with first time pregnancies it takes about 2 weeks to go into labor after the baby drops. I REALLY don't want to go past 40 weeks so in my perfect world she would drop next week and I would have her the week before I am due. However, I realize that no one cares about my perfect world! :)
Any suggestions on how to get her to move her position would be greatly appreciated!!

36 weeks

My belly at 36 weeks.

Lob sided belly

Sorry I have been falling behind on blogging. We have been pretty busy here lately. This past weekend to took our childbirth class. It was, well, interesting. I don't feel like I really learned any new information other than 1 in 4 women have c-sections. That is absolutely crazy!! Ryan really didn't like the mnemonic devices that they used. TACO was used to help us remember what we need to remember if my water breaks... time, amount, color, and odor. Ryan's exact words were "I really like Tacos and I don't want to think of water breaking every time I think of tacos."
There were some really strange people in this class. So needless to say Ryan spent a majority of the time making fun of them. So I had a hard time concentrating.
The first two weeks in September we have a parenting class that will teach us information on diapering, bathing, caring for the umbilical cord, and things of that nature. I think that class will be a lot more beneficial.
Other than that not much to update on. I keep on growing. I am getting more and more uncomfortable. I think she is jumping on my cervix because I occasionally get a sharp stabbing pain and my Doctor said that is my cervix. My hips have also been really achy. I am getting more uncomfortable as every day goes by. My sleep hasn't gotten any better. I have been ending up sleeping on the couch most nights. I feel bad for keeping Ryan up all night. I am either going in and out because I have to use the bathroom 12 times or I am tossing and turning, which i assure you is not an easy task when you have a basketball belly! I also tend to sleep a little better on the couch for some reason.
I am going to the doctor weekly now, but she won't be checking to see if I am dilated until next week. I also found out that she is not a fan of inducing until it is absolutely necessary. I am really not a fan of that. Considering I am sure I will have a stubborn child ( because of Ryan, not me:)) I doubt she will be coming out on time.
I have yet to take a picture of my belly but many people have been asking that I post one... so I will probably be posting a picture of my growing basketball belly soon.
Oh! I almost forgot. I don't have a perfectly round belly. Poindextress has found a liking with my left side and is all on that side. it is obvious if you look at my stomach head on that she on that one side. I think it is her butt because I feel her on my right side close to my hip, so i think she is laying at an angle. That is all for now.
I hope you all have a fabulous week!

The newest addition to the family

Kalen Ray Conner was born on 8-18-09 at 11:43 AM. He weighted 8 lbs 4 ozs and was 20 inches long. I am really excited that him and Poindextress will be so close in age. Family gatherings are going to be fun! Especially with two screaming babies! :)

I have Kankles

Yep. I have Kankles. I thought you all would want to know! :)

Randomness

Last week I went to the doctor. I know I have said it a million times, but my doctor is strange and I really am not a fan of her... too late to do anything about it now! oops! Anyway, She scared me a little bit because she was VERY concerned that I have been having (horrible) headaches and my hands and feet/ankles have been swelling pretty badly. She is concerned about pre-clamsia which is basically hypertension. One of the major signs of this is sudden weight gain, but I only gained 1 pound in two weeks. I am just suppose to keep an eye on my swelling. If it doesn't go down in 12 hours I have to call her. So far my feet unswell (is that a word?) after I lay down for a little while in the evening.

I have been having problems with my hands going numb... I thought this was odd. So I looked it up on the Internet and I think it might be carpal tunnel . I have all of the symptoms. My hands go numb and are tingly. I am have pain in my hands and wrists. They say this can happen with pregnancy because of the loosening of all of joints. I will ask my doctor next week when I go. I am not to worried about it.

Not much has been going on lately. I had a baby shower this last weekend and Ryan played golf. I think Ryan has played golf at least every other weekend this summer, if not every. I don't mind though, I get some alone time and I doubt he will be able to golf as much next summer so he better enjoy it now! :) My baby shower was good. It was great to see all my friends and eat cake. I love cake and thanks to Lauren everyone got to take home cupcakes.

I have been begging Ryan to help me hardcore clean our apartment for the last two weeks. I finally got him to do it on Sunday. All I wanted him to do was clean the bathroom because it is hard for me to bend over so cleaning the tub would have been a challenge. I also needed him to sweep and mop for me:). So, we spent a few hours cleaning and I put away all of Poindextresses clothes. I can't believe she has so many clothes already! I also did a little organizing of other gifts we had received. I don't think I am nesting... I think it just my personality I like organization and order! It makes me happy.

I haven't been feeling too good this week. I feel like I am getting step throat, again. I am trying to fight it off but I am not sure how that is working. Considering I can't sleep, but I am trying! So, I have just felt really blah this week. Ryan had to work late last night. he didn't get home until past midnight. He slept for an hour then had to go back to work at 2. Poor guy. I feel bad for him. Hopefully he gets home early today so he can take a nap. It makes me nervous with him working on an hour of sleep in 48 hours.

Since he was working late I went to Olathe last night to get his birthday gift. I got it all wrapped and ready to go. I am glad I can cross that of my list. It was bothering me!

Nothing really going on with Pointexress. She is growing and running out of room! I am not sure my stomach can stretch any more. I am measuring right on target. I look like I have a basketball under my shirt :). The other day Ryan said he thought I looked like I am carrying her lower than I was. I still have some pain in my ribs occasionally, but it has moved to the pelvic region. Which I suppose is a good sign. My pelvis is achy and I feel like I am waddling a little bit. 6 weeks to go! Hopefully only 4 :) I know, I know, wishful thinking.
