I love sleep. I NEED sleep. Why do I have a child who fights sleep so badly?!? Last night she fought sleep until 3 am. She would fall asleep for maybe 5 minutes then start crying. There was nothing wrong with her, she just didn't want to sleep. Or she will sleep until her pacifier falls out of her mouth then she wakes up. Like right now... it looks like she is sleeping, but she is still sucking on the pacifier and if it falls out she will cry. Last night I was wondering if I could invent something to put on her head to hold the pacifier in :). That or tape it to her face! It is crazy the things you think of to keep a baby to sleep when you are exhausted.
Her new "thing" is wanting to sleep on her tummy. I read that she might have some sort of acid reflux problem and that is why she is more comfortable on her tummy. Finally at 3 am I put her on her tummy and let her sleep that way for about 30 minutes then went and flipped her over and she slept until 6. She sleeps so good on her tummy. The other night I
accidentally fell asleep before I could flip her back over and she slept for 4 and a half hours. I woke up in a fright, went and
flipped her over and she slept for 10
minutes before she woke up. Talk about frustrating! I read about some tricks to try and will try them tonight. Hopefully they work!
Ryan got home last night. He got to experience her sleep fighting. I think he feels sorry for me. He asked.. is she always like this?!? She has been like this for about 3 days. I am hoping she is just going through a growth
spurt and it will go away-soon I hope.
Got to go. The pacifier came out.. Fussy, fussy, fussy!!
