First time on Our Little Shrimp!

After many head aches, illegal activity, and inspections we finally got our house! We spent the entire weekend picking paint colors, making plans and just sitting in the large open space. We took Kellyn's pack and play so she could nap. She loved roaming around and playing. Below are some pictures of the outside of the house. I have inside pictures but I will post them with before and after pictures.
We have work to do on the outside of the house. It needs yard work (all the water runs to the house rather than away), a new deck/patio, paint, and just general cleaning up. Once we get the inside painted and moved in we will work on the outside.

Ryan's "man cave" It is in the back yard.

The back deck. I hate it. It will be a patio with stamped concrete (it pays to live with someone who does concrete construction for a living!)

The front of the house. I cut off the side b/c I would have had to stand in yard across the street to fit it all in the picture.

We have a screened in patio. I hate it also, but I seem to be the only one. Maybe after a little TLC I will like it.

Oh, Sammy, its so cute! I'm sure you will do amazing things with it... Oh, and to make your screened in porch a little cuter, you could always add outdoor curtains - I LOVE them and wish I had a pergola or something so I could hang them... Happy Decorating!

Cute! Just make Lauren come decorate for you. I'll babysit, since I lack the creative/decorating gene!

Some wicker furniture might spruce it up a little with pretty cushions and prolly wouldnt cost a whole lot to buy...Looks like a nice house..cant wait to see it in person...Love ya..kiss Kellyn for me please...Aunt Sandy

Congrats guys! We're really excited for you. The various projects that you complete are what makes it your home versus a house you bought. I've come to think of it as "emotional equity" which our 1974 home has a lot of at this point!
