It's official- We can no longer go in public

On Saturday Ryan and I took Kellyn to Nebraska Furniture Mart. Keep in mind that this is the first time we really have taken her anywhere since she became very mobile. I take her to target for quick shopping trips, but we are typically in and out. She was content sitting in the shopping cart for approximately 2 minutes. Then, she wanted down. We were looking a lamps. With a one year old touching everything and running around like a crazy person. It was anxiety provoking. Her running around wasn't working. She was ALL over the place, going up to every person who would give her the slightest bit of attention, and trying to pull things down. So, we put her back into the cart and she threw a HUGE fit. She was throwing herself back and screaming with her scrunched up fake cry face. Needless to say we were not there long nor did we make any purchases. I refuse to be the person with the screaming kid because I don't like those people and she isn't old enough to really "punish" and then bring back into the store. So, it will be a while before we can take the crazy child into public places.

Kellyn is a little shadow. She will try to mimic everything you do or say. Her new favorite thing is to wear my sunglasses or Ryan's hat. We spend hours with her putting on my glasses and then we putting them on and over and over again. I wanted to get a picture of her wearing the glasses because she looks like a little diva, but she won't keep them on so this is the best I could do.

Not only is she rediculously cute ( and Ornery), but she is very smart. Smarter than most kids her age (ok, that may not be true). She can say... book, banana, cracker, bite, mama, dada, grandpa, bottle, water, bye, RJ, night night and many more. Not only can she say all of those things but she knows where her toes, nose and ears are. AND she is just a genius. At night when she is ready to go to bed she says night night. I ask her to go get her night night book and she goes into her room grabs that one particular book out of her wide selection of books and brings me the book. If you ask her to get anything she will go get it and bring it back to you. Smart. Smart. Smart and cute.... We are going to have our hands full.
