Adventures of potty training

We tried the potty training thing about a month ago, but were unsuccessful. Kellyn refused to go potty in her big girl potty insisting that she is a baby, not a big girl. I didn't was to push it so we stopped pressuring her, but would ask her if she needed to go. She then starting telling us when she was going potty in her diaper or pull up. Ryan and I talked and after advice from more experienced members of our family we decided to simply put her in big girl panties.

we put her in panties, got a supply of M&M's and stickers. I also got her a new pair of "big girl shoes". They are pick flip flops, but are a little bit of a platform with pink sequence. Kellyn LOVED her hew pretty shoes. She was wearing her shoes when she went potty in her panties thus resulting in potty on her new shoes. I told her that she can't wear her new shoes if she isn't going to go potty in the big girl potty. She now potties in her big girl potty.

We started this about a week and a half ago and she has been doing AH-MAZ-ING! She still has one, maybe two accidents a day, but they are usually small because she stops herself knowing that she needs to use the big girl potty. She also starting telling me that she needs to go. Most children would say I need to potty. Not Kellyn. She says, "Mommy, my pee is going to come out". One of a kind that child.
A week ago when I was home with her I let her run around in her panties (less laundry if she had a mess) and in the midst of it all Kellyn decided that she now loves socks. Here are a couple pictures of her new style. Keep in mind that she HAD to wear these socks.
