I had decided to not have Kellyn dye Easter eggs this year. I was worried about the mess and my inability to control her egg dying skills. The Friday evening before Easter I read this article about raising independent self-confident children and one of the tasks was to allow your children to be creative and make messes. This is challenging, but I decided that I should let her have the full Easter experience.
She actually did very well dying the eggs. There was a little mess, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned. I got her an egg dying kit with glitter and she thought that was the coolest thing ever!
She made she pretty awesome eggs- way better than Ryan and I's.
