It's official! We are 100% ready for miss Poindextress to come. All of her clothes are washed and put away. Everything is in its place and organized. It is a HUGE relief for me. I spent all day Sunday washing clothes, cleaning and organizing. Who knew something so small could have so many clothes?!? She has a lot of onsies, sleepers, and some pants. She doesn't have a lot of "nice" clothes, but I am sure that will change. Plus, all they wear for the first few months are onsies anyway.
We had our last baby shower on Saturday with the family. It was nice to get to see everyone and we got a lot of really nice gifts! Thanks to everyone who came. A special thanks to Aunt Sandy, Aunt Sally and Nicole for throwing the shower. It turned out great!
Ryan and I received a few gift cards so we went to Olathe yesterday to get a few things that we didn't get at the shower. It is obvious that Ryan and I have a different perspective on what we each think is a necessity. I wanted to get some head bands with flowers on them for Poindextress. Ryan thinks it is crazy that I got them. I think Ryan will understand the need the first time someone asks him if she is a boy! :) Notice, my "necessity" costs $5.00.. keep that in mind.
Ryan thinks it would be necessary for us to get a video monitor so we can see her without even having to go into the room. "We wouldn't even have to get out of bed to check on her." I agree this would be nice if we lived in a large house... or if we had a shed that Ryan worked in a lot. Neither of which we have. I think it is crazy to spend at least $200.00 on a video monitor. I had to put my foot down. Instead we got a fisher price monitor that cost $30.00 and works perfectly! Oh, Ryan also suggested that we use the gift certificates for a TV for the babies room... I don't think so mister!! :) Shopping with Ryan is always a very frustrating yet hilarious experience.
I go back to the Doctor on Friday, hopefully I am further dilated this week!! I have been doing a lot of walking. One, thing that we don't have ready is our hospital bag packed. I understand the reason for having it ready, but I use a lot of things I would take on a regular basis. I suppose I could get it packed with what I can and then have a list so we could grab what we needed quickly. Even though I don't think we are going to be "rushing" to go to the hospital... I think I will have a few hours to get ready.
I will update again after my Doctor's appointment on Friday.

Sammy, this is so exciting! And I always have an urge to by cute baby clothes when I see them but don't have a reason to... Guess now I will have a perfectly good reason! I can't wait to see her!
Sounds like you are nesting getting everything ready for Poindextress to show up. Things must definately be getting close. I am sooooo sorry I missed the shower. Can't wait to see you, Ryan, and the newest addition to the family!!
