These last 10 pregnancy pounds have out stayed their welcome. I gained about 35-40 lbs while I was pregnant. The first 25-30 lbs just melted away, but these last 10 lbs have obviously gotten comfortable on my belly, hips, and thighs. GO AWAY!!! I will worn you know... this blog may turn into a running blog. It will help hold me accountable. I promise I will still update about Kellyn! :)
I have been trying to workout. I work out when I can. I am usually up by 7 am, go to work at 4:30-8:30 and then work out until 9:30 ish. This is when Ryan is able to pick up Kellyn or if I don't forget my socks or sports bra. It seems like something always comes up and working out gets put on the back burner. This is no longer happening. I have made a goal to work out 6 days a week.
Before I got pregnant I would get up and workout at 6 am. I prefer to do this... but when i was getting up with Kellyn at 4:30 working out an hour and a half later was not even close to being on my mind. Well, she is now sleeping 10-12 hours every night so I no longer have an excuse. Starting tomorrow my butt will be getting up at 5:30 and working out. Ryan usually leaves at 6:30, so I will be home before he has to leave.
Another problem... I have NEVER been a distance runner. At least not a real distance runner. I can run a good 3 miles on the elliptical, but that isn't really running. I want to be able to run at least 3-5 miles every day outside or on a treadmill (when the weather is bad). Currently I can run a mile on the treadmill without dying... so I will be gradually increasing this. My goal is to be able to run 3-5 miles by spring so I can run outside pushing Kellyn in the stroller. My long term goal- put an extra emphasis on the long part- is to be able to run a Marathon. Ha, maybe in 5 years! :)
So, my plan is to post every day about my workout. This will help me actually do it! Good bye 10 pounds, I hope I never see you again!!

Can you move to Olathe so we can be workout buddies? :)
I second the last comment, but just cause you'd be closer to me. I only work out every once in a while and I really don't like it. You should run a 5k. They are pretty easy, and you know if I'm saying that, then they really must be. There is one at the end of January that I am running with Scott, its called the groundhog run. You'd probably kick my butt, but you should do it!
I know you can do whatever you put your mind to Sam!!!!!!! keep up the good work and you will do it...proud of you....kiss Kellyn for me..Love ya, Aunt Sandy
I can thoroughly appreciate goal setting and exercise and craving your pre-pregnancy body but you are ENTIRELY too hard on yourself. You are gorgeous 10 lbs or no 10 lbs!
